I've moved to Germany from the States and South America and brought the rig along with me. Ive posted on this thread before shortly before we drove through South America, but now he has a little weather and notches under his belt since then. Since no stone has been un-trampeled in Germany it doesn't leave much for wild off-roading, so organized parks are around. We have an AuPair from the sticks of Michigan living with us and she has been a bit home sick. So I did a quick google search and found Mammot Offroad park just South of Hannover to cure her weekend mud bogging blues. Here are a few pictures of us there and helping out a Mercedes G-class out of the mud. I simply idled and tippy-toed through the entire park. My truck is lifted with 37" KM2's and 500 ponies. The Germans experienced the American "Shock and Awe" as I negotiated every obstacle with ease.

The truck has been getting decent gas mileage at around 19-22mpg. But Diesel is very pricey. Are you sitting down? It costs me to fill the entire tank (36gal) from empty a tad over $260.00USD

I can't seem to find the url for your site anywhere on your profile page. I'd be interested in seeing what you use for a tire carrier on your truck.

I am new to the site and this truck is new to me. Formerly, I owned a 1998 Nissan Frontier with a shell and a few light modifications. Great camping and traveling rig. I needed more space and did not want to sacrifice mileage and I wanted to stay affordable...so this was the end result. The shell was a CL pickup for $150 and it needs a bit of light work, but it functions. I will hopefully start a build thread on this project vehicle soon.

After I sold my 80s Dodge truck years ago, I said I'd never own a truck again. I failed...

Here's our new rig; a 2010 F-250 Lariat with the FX4 package and the 6.4L turbo diesel. It's only been off-road once since we bought it, and it's nothing like the Rover is, or even the 4Runner was, but it's capable if the road is roomy enough. I'd have preferred smaller rims and bigger tires, maybe the long bed instead of short, but it's nice enough to pull our travel trailer across the country, or just down some dirty backroads. I want to swap the tonneau cover for a camper shell, but finding one used for a newer model isn't easy or cheap.
