AEV JK Six Pack

Here's one of the pictures. Looks neat, however I would suspect it comes with a 70k price tag. I'd buy it if I won the lotto.

I had never thought of this idea, but it makes perfect sense after the DoKa.

Once you have the longer chassis, you really just need a big hard top instead of a pickup rear.

Very interesting.

With a wheel base that long you better stick to the roads. If a vic has a WB that long it better be able to haul 2-3 tons and pull 5 tons. I suppose you could rent it as a limo in vegas....

Dave from AEV just confirmed is uses the same stretched chassis as the doka.

Funny how everyone thought the long wheel base of the doka was "great", but in "wagon" form it's horrible.

It's a one-off and not something AEV is actively pursuing.

HAAAAAAAAHA! I drive a full sized Dodge Power Wagon w/ 140" of wheelbase pretty much anywhare I want to. Don't limit yourself based on size...

Evidently you did not read my sig. You are the one limiting yourself by trying to drive a road rig off road. You must stick to the wide open desert in AZ. :D Why do you think I have a jeep.

I think the DoKa makes sense from a practicallity standpoint more than this 6 seater. Not only are you adding 2 occupants, you are adding the gear to support them and need even more storage space. I think that the "enclosed" DoKa version here really shows the wheel base.

There are plenty of different platforms, and all will work for someone based on their needs. But I am not sure why someone who buys a Jeep or other SWV would want to increase the wheel base by close if not over 50%.

While I love the look of the DoKa I just can't seem to see how it makes sense. Last time I checked, a 4 door pickup exists in the market. And you could get a diesel for way less than this, brand new off the lot. Not sure how they plan to sell it for $80+k except to a rich collector.

I understand that this is probably just a one off concept vehicle, but I am speaking about the DoKa while we are at it.

I think vehicle would be awesome for exploring. Ditch the rear most seat and then fold down the set and you tons of room for sleeping or hauling stuff. However, it looks like AEV has no interest in bringing this to market and most of the people on AEVs forum are not supportive of it.

Cool! A Wrangler limo! Right after the show, it can be put to use ferrying convention-goers to ultra lounge parties.

Definately not for everyone, but I can definately appreciate a concept like this from a company thats not OEM. I like that the Rear doors got a lot of attention, not just the front door moved to the rear with the large upper slope to them like a couple of 4 door TJ conversions a while back. Nice work!

I find it more useful than the double cab too. I think the point is not that you can haul 6 people, but you could haul 4 or 5 plus all their gear inside the truck. The JKU can haul two people and alot of gear but with 3 or 4 the rear space is limited. This is coming from the point of vie of someone who travels with mountainbikes, skis, and gear that can take up alot of space on along trip. I know with my 80 series that with even 3 people I have a hard time stuffing everything in on a biking, paddling, overland type trip. I like a large SUV style body as you can put long items in it versus a double cab pickup body style where you have a defined cab and bed space.

I bet you could take that thing pretty much anywhere you want to go outside of dedicated rock crawling trails that lead to nowhere. I am sure someone can think of a trail here or there to cite an example to the contrary but it goes back to what you want the rig for. Rock crawling, trail running or some type of long, supported trip into the backcountry or accross a continent. For those of us who don't want to drag a trailer, something like this is sweet. That said, I am not in the demographic to swing one anyway.

Looks cool.

Slap a full length roof rack, Some aux fuel tanks and you can pretty much take 5-6 people wherever you want.
