Auxiliary light setups

So far I've installed an sPod, switches, 40" Bajadesigns light bar, and Bajadesigns SII lights. The next planned installs are side roof lights (for camping, workin, tight blind corners) and front bumper lights.

Really clean installation. Where'd you get the switches? NM, looked at the build page. If I ever decide to redo mine those are probably what I'd go with.

Thanks Craig

http://www.otrattw.com/. Can do custom ones as well, just draw them up and send them to him.

Yep, OTRATTW. Great to deal with. I had to have a special momentary switch for the light bar (low, high and strobe) and they helped me get the wiring right.

They make pleanty of LED's without that blue light. Soft white, yellow (no bugs), etc. They are all over. I hate the LED death ray. But I'm fully converted over. Their time has long arrived.

Can you post links to some? Everything I've been able to find has always been 5000° to even 6500K (looking for something around 4000°K white or so).

Thanks.

I've got 4300k LEDs..definitely less blue than my 6000k 50" soye led bar...even then I'd call it white not blue. They are no where near as blue as 6000k hids...more 5000k. Lens changes also help...buying off white/yellow lens.

I use some LED lights for lighting the outside of my Pinz. They are the CREE variety and are 4.5" x 3.5". I have them wired into the solar electric system in my truck. They are also run on my remote control system, easier to find your truck when it lights the way. the two side lights (one on each side, was planning two but they are bright enough one does the job) are white and the back light is capable of 16 different color options. The color options are nice for keeping the bugs down.

4300K might work... (certainly better than everything else I've been able to find) More info please (or maybe where you bought 'em from) :D

Would rather not have filters though (lenses)

Im a big dan of the rigid led lights.

I have dually floods on my back rack & dually DSC01845.JPG recessed at the rear corners of the bed.

Super white & bright with very little draw

Lens I'm talking about literally replace the len of the light, not an added filter. Certain china brand are actually changeable/replaceable. Not glued in plastic/glass. I really enjoy the soye led brand over the other 20 or so I've bought..most tend to be the same exact light listed different. I've had probably 9 or 10 different styles that I've looked at though, from 20 different companies..most are the same. Soye also custom taylor's for cost, any size you want, unlike any other company I've dealt with.
The LEDs I'm speaking of are all listed non aliexpress or alibaba.com. The pods I picked up are a 10w style, Cree chip, non replaceable lens and has the same exact housing as many other companies..not my favorite but the color is why they were kept. Each company is close if not identical in output, but there is differences when you compare. These in pods in particular are not yellow(3000k) nor blue(6000k) and its very clear against my soye led bar which is listed to be 6000k. Just looking straight at the lights you can tell a difference. Ill try to find the exact company...when you look you'll see 100 that look identical. Also talk to the seller as you don't NEED to buy their listed minimum. I remember these saying minimum order of 100...I bought 2.
My soye bar "almost" matches my 5000k halogen headlights, you can tell the difference of course, but its not as bad as its made to seem. I would say even more close to piaa ion bulbs I had in my old Hella fog lights.
A guy we wheel with has 6000k piaa bulbs in a e code housing..hid conversion. His lights are way bluer than my soye led bar. I do understand your meaning on the color but some of these lights are getting better on cutting ur the blue.

A lens (or bulb) that changes a light's color is a filter (it filters out certain wavelengths to make it appear a different color). I'd rather not have that as it makes the light more inefficient.

Yeah if you can post a link to whatever it is you got, that'd be great.

Edit:
Looks like I found them here

I'm not finding a CCT (°K) rating aside from this: "Light perception: A softer light to prevent glare." (the lumens vs. watt numbers also lead me to believe they're using something pretty high too, especially at those prices I doubt they're using top-binned LEDs).
These are the ones you say are 4300K?

They're cheap enough it's tempting to just buy 'em anyway, and stick my own Cree LEDs in it if needed (I assume these lights are disassembleable having screws on the face?, not glued shut like a LED flashlight i once bought).

Got four Rigids on my Ranch Hand bumper. Forward light, more than all taken care of. Thanks for the ideas on the rear lights, haven't got to that yet. Love the sPod relay center. Pricey, but I can see myself getting one this summer.

That's the. Best company Ive run across yes. My lights a custom taylored 50". They list 50 but its truly 46". Mines actually 52. Those are 6000k listed on their PDF file, I speak to Vicky Chen there. Stephy being the manager from my info.
Their 50" is 400w...40 LEDs at 10w a piece. Insanely bright? And they are adjustable rom full bright to dim in 4 settings. It also features a "flash to pass"/strobe. Or the basic which is on/off no extras for a few pennies cheaper.
Yes fully serviceable. Replacement lens ect ect. I've dealt with a few companies from over seas, soye being number 1 in my book so far.
The pods I got, I was searching 10w led work lights or 10w led offroad lights. Ill try to upload a picture for you in a few so you can at least find the housing. I have yet to find a full bright bar in 4300k. The pods shoot roughly 25ft wide by 40-50...maybe more? In distance. They are used for side lighting and back up mainly..not forward facing. It's a small. 2x2 housing.

EDIT: I run the baja design look alike from soye. I have no experience with their other style with the chrome face.

EDIT: this is the housing but not the light. Every company runs almost identical housings but the actually light output and beam diff..assuming different companies runs different angles or certain led types. Ill try to find it. But again they are small and not great for forward seeing in my opinion which is what I think your after? I use mine for side & back light on trails/camp.

Another, same housing but not the light I ordered. Mine are the discussed blocking lens..flood pattern 64* beam pattern I think..

Yeah I'm looking for a bar maybe around 20" or so. 6000°K is just ridiculous in a LED (could be tolerable maybe in a HID, but definitely not for me in a LED).

Thanks for the info about serviceability. I guess I'll poke around some, see what I find (I know these things float around on Ebay a lot too).
