Let me see your first gen's

I am currently thinking about buying a first gen pickup (81 hilux, long bed) for a DD. I am currently DD'ing an 80 series and its not nice to the wallet. Long story short, I would want to keep this one simple, and able to take the dirt roads and camp. Not really a crawler.

These are great platforms for whatever you want to do with it, and how far your bank account or credit card are willing to go.
Realitively basic Trail gear and Budbuilt armor, OME lift. Everthing else is stock.

Not mine, but always thought a HiLux with the 7' bed and a Wildernest was hot setup. With a small block chevy swap....or a modern toyota super charged 4 cylinder.

3-4" lift and 33's too...



or a four wheel camper

Those trucks are always classy. Love seeing the ones that are still on the road. Gets a good rubber neck from me everytime I pass one!

the yellow one was for sale on craigslist last year or so.

Kermit, I love the red short bed! Those SR5 graphics get me every time. I don't want to post up my potential buy, cause if i dont get it ill be sad. However, its yellow and one of the first things Im going to do it put on sr5 graphics.
