Don't do this with your stock Range Rover

Just got this very rare CUCV Dually. It weighs 6.000lbs plus the trailer :). definitely not a thing you would want to do with your standard P38 Range Rover.

CUCVs are cool. I've dreamed about turning one into an around town truck or an off road truck.

Swap out the transfer case, put a turbo on the 6.2, lift, modify the bed/shorten the chassis, big tires, armor, and go!

Why swap out he transfer case?

Its an NP208. I mean, its fine, but there isn't that much aftermarket available for it. Either build a chevy 205 but then you start getting into used Atlas price territory. Might as well cut the crap.

I just did this with mine.

4000+ LBS car

5000+ LBS Trailer

I pulled it 65 miles @70 mph without issue on 33" tires and stock gearing. 133K miles on the 4.6L

Are you saying the trailer alone weighs 5000lbs ? someone build it out of rail line ? :Wow1:

how does towing 120,960lbs just over a mile compare :smiley_drive:

First of all, not to be a prick, but anyone coming on here and bragging about towing significantly more than the vehicle is rated for should get a bit of a slap down.

Second, the only brake upgrade you need to tow a heavy trailer (IMHO, not a lawyer, etc.) is one of these:

Finally, here's my biggest trailer load ever:
