Been driving the snot out of my 99 Suburban/7.4L. 146K on the dial...running strong!

OCD = lots of maintenance:

Lucas Fuel Injectors
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Fuel Pump
Front/Rear Axle Seals
New Brakes and Front Rotors
Transfer Case Pinion Seal
New Radiator/Hoses
New A/C Heat Control Panel ($$ - ouch!)
New Headlights

Installed an electric brake controller to go with the new Scrambler hauler...

Big cross country trip to accompany the move from Virginia to California in June. Wheeling/Camping/Fishing for a week in Colorado.

And I installed a Wilderness Cargo Rack that I found on CL, cleaned it up and painted it. Mounts to the factory rails.

Next up: Full cut/wax and interior detail, reupholster passenger leather seat.

That's a pretty Suburban you got there! the scrambler ain't too bad either.

Got any better pics of how the rack mounts to the factory rack? I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to mount mine.

Are there many places to explore by vehicle there? Their website makes it look like it's only for backpackers. I don't get around too well on foot anymore.

Here's my 2006 RAM 2500 CTD 4x4 that I've spent the better part of the last year outfitting little by little. The truck is actually in the shop right now getting full Deaver leafs and a torsion sway bar installed. (Should be perfectly level after that)

I'm leaving tomorrow for a two or three week road trip that will take me through N. Mexico and Colorado in route (def not direct!) to the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. After that I'm headed out to the Mojave Road in route to Baja California. I just got the bed cap put on yesterday and plan to camp in there more often than not.

It's the Leer 100XQ. I never thought I would get a "camper" but after I saw this on another Gen 3 Dodge RAM I changed my mind.

4" is pretty good for where these heavy beasts can go, and easy to live with day to day.
