Monticello, Medicine Lake in La Sal Mtns, I'll guess the Lockhart Basin Road near Indian Creek on the Third photo.
I know it has been awhile since this dicussion ended, but my parents lived on the res 45 years ago, as well as my friends father. The reason for its name (as far as I have been told) comes from Navajo tradition, not Mormons, or any other religion.Is that really what the Navajos named it or called it by 200 years ago or is that what arriving Mormon settlers "convinced" their native American neighbors to rename the place as according to Mormon beliefs?
