Nice looking '85! Those new KO's are pretty nifty-looking too. I'd forgotten about that redesign.

If you're anything like me, the '85 will become a life fixture. I can't imagine replacing mine with anything else.

looks great. I'll have to start a build thread for mine soon. I have an '86. Like you, i'm looking into building and interior storage unit as well. hopefully that will come soon.

Looking at your springs, either I have mine on backwards, or you do, or the OME springs mount different from 83 to 85? From what I see your springs have the double spring guides up front, mine are rear of the axle. Anyone?

I agree. Looks backwards.

Ended up feeling way too remorseful to sell the truck. At this point its time to stop caring about time, money, effort and just push on! In that spirit we headed out to the central coast to do some camping this weekend. Hope you all enjoy!

They way out was really foggy until all of a sudden we got above it all and it was pure sunshine

I know a lot of guys like RTT's but I'll take a tiny 5lb tent on the ground any day. Keeps the roof open for surfboards!

Couldn't find an appropriate sub-thread, but I'm sitting on some parts I've been meaning to get to recently and have been struggling to motivate working on the rig solo. Anyone in the bay area looking for a hand on a project in exchange for the same? Always have time for some cold ones whenever someone is willing to help and talk story. I have a bunch of spare parts from the years and I'm always trying to help a fellow yota head out. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

Nice looking runner, glad you were able to keep it! How do you like the KO2's so far? I just won a set, but need to get some new wheels before I can run them, just curious on your opinion of how they perform.
