Escapade Campers MT-10

Searched thru most threads and decided to start an Escapade Campers MT-10 thread. I've purchased 1 and have done a few mods for my personal tastes and will share as I go.
Escapade owners/buyers/lurkers feel free to join in. I am not associated with the company however I live in the town where they are manufactured and know the owners, Jeff & Briana are great people. Pictured is the day I brought it home.

What kind of mods have you done? I picked up a Backcountry in January and have done a few mods since as well (Propex heater and Lithium batteries to start). I think a thread for Escapade as a whole is a good idea too. Great company. My only complaint so far are the rather flimsy screen doors. I'd love to upgrade to Terns, but they won't fit.

I've done quite a few so far and will be slowly feeding them into this Escapade thread. I also chose the Propex heater over all the other variants for ease of install and no liquid fuels inside the unit itself. The intake & exhaust go under the trailer and the LP line has a quick disconnect mounted on the frame.

Same for me regarding Propex install. I asked Jeff to install the AC box into the Backcountry without the AC itself and then put the Propex and all in one solar inverter in it. I’ll post pics as well. Good to see some Escapades in here.

We’ve got a 2019 Backcountry we bought new, drove to Dassel all the way from Denver to pick it up. I’ve done tons of lighting mods, as well as added a propex. Now I’m thinking I need to sell and upgrade to an MT-10

You have a fantastic unit and will make countless memories with it. I saw the pictures of your Backcountry you posted earlier and am probably going to copy how you mounted your iPad inside (all credit will be given to you, of course), I'll also be passing thru Denver on the 22nd with my MT-10 on a westward bound vacation while eventually arriving at work in Ventura County, CA on the 29th. Would love to see the mods done to date here and for inspiration to others.

Here you can see where I attached a Bundutec shower curtain enclosure to the roof rack crossbars, a 10g road shower to feed the on demand hot water heater enclosed in a Pelican case, an 11lb LP tank, a 2g Rotopax for extra water for either the shower or the sink. The 2g Rotopax and the 11lb LP tank weight is supported from below with the mounts attached via nutserts into the composite wall. The one picture also shows the LP quick disconnect for the Propex heater mounted under the sink inside.

I installed a mountain scene mural inside on the interiors back wall with some prayer flags up top, you can also see the Propex heaters thermostat control in the upper right corner. The heat vent is in the middle of the wall with the cold air return on the lower wall. Put carpet down and added a cot for sleeping off the floor. Chopped 1.5" from the cots feet which still allows totes to be stored underneath and is low enough to sit up and not hit your head on the interior ceiling.

Added another battery to the tongue box for 210Ah available power, the plastic battery boxes needed a bit of modifying to mount, but fit very nicely. 200Watts from roof top solar panels feed the batteries along with shore power charging if/when available. 1000 inverter was added for ??????? because why not.

Added a ladder to access the roof easier, the fenders are structural and can be used to stand on and reach things normally, but the ladder allows you to climb up top to access anything available on the roof which is also structural and can be walked around on. Ladder brackets were modified to fit on the rear and ladder is stored in the roof top basket. Also utilized ski carriers in the basket for holding Hi-Lift jack along with kayak paddles, skis, etc.....

Ok you’ve done several mods I have on my list. Got a couple q’s if you don’t mind.

1. how are you attaching the pelican case?
2. Where did you get the decals?

I’ve already bought a pelican 1600 and camplux but not yet installed. Curious how you plumbed that in. I have a water port weekender in the same spot as your road shower.

also the cycling and paddling decals are sweet. I want them.

loving your setup.

1) The Pelican case has multiple nutserts holding it to the composite wall along with bonding and 6 thru bolts, (pic attached) I believe any one of those would have done the job quite nicely and with all 3 it makes it a bomb proof install.
2) The decals were sourced all over the internet and Amazon from multiple sources.
The 10g road shower uses a QD (quick disconnect) in which I can use a straight coiled hose to rinse things off or plumb it directly into the water heater, hot water has a QD plumbed into a shower head and the LP line has a QD into the water heater also. I'll get pics later this coming week when home again.

Thanks! Look forward to seeing them. The decal request was a little tongue in cheek, but I'm dead serious about the pelican heater. That install has me wringing the hands a bit, mostly related to drilling in the camper side. I need to know exactly what I'm doing before that. Cheers!

Flew home and am packing out for 10 days unplugged, here are the shower set up pics.
