Overland Exposition Plan "B" crew

I figured we could start our official "In Progress" thread as we are preparing to, or have already departed.

I am taking a half day tomorrow to wrap everything up and finish packing and vehicle prep. I will also be preparing a big pot of elk green chili for Friday or Saturday night's pot luck dinner.
I'll be at the camp site sometime in the afternoon.

It looks like I'll be showing up in the Nissan. I don't think the Monty is going to make this trip. I don't want to risk a failure or causing more damage than needs be. But we'll be arriving on Saturday morning some time if we can find camp.

Well, I got the parts to fix the Monty, I'm going to pick them up today. If what I think is the the problem is indeed the problem, and I can get it fixed tonight, then the Monty will be making an appearance.

Things haven't worked out the way I needed to them to make the trip, so I'm out.

Ttora, sorry to hear things didn't work out it would have been nice to have another 4Runner in the mix!

Ok I think I got all of my projects complete...not to my 100% satisfaction but there are only so many hours in the day and its good enough to get me through this trip.

I have some Southwest Macaroni Salad for the potluck.

Truck is packed and ready to go, including a small bit of firewood.

I think I'm finally ready! See you all tomorrow!:victory:

My wife Jenny and I are here at the Overland Expo this weekend (with our new-to-us 2008 Forester XT). We just got the car two weeks ago and are 12 days into a meandering cross-country drive from Boston to San Fran (via Alabama and Prescott, Arizona).

Yesterday was a banner day for me as a long-time forum lurker. I've done most of my reading & recent posting from India, literally on the other side of the world; so it's a real treat to put some faces to the names, and meet so many great people from the overlanding and supplier communities. Thanks to Roseann and team for putting on a superlative event!!

I didn't take any pictures of myself, but I pretty much looked like this dude...

I know who Jamie is.

And Rex, Kristoffer, and Brady.

I can't remember these guys.

I think this was 111db...

I also remember Carrie, Heidi, Aaron, Jacki, Ell, Jessie, Aimee, and ttora4runner (Although I can't remember his real name)

Can anyone put the faces to the names for me?
