Dodge 95' Cummins Expedition build

Great truck! I just bought a 94 that has the exact same specs as your truck. Its being delivered tomorrow.

Have you had those tires on long enough to see how it effects your mileage? These trucks came from the factory with 16" rims didnt they? I like your rims, are those from the current Dodge diesels?

I will definately be putting a leveling kit and some beefier tires on it as soon as the tires that are on it need replacing.

Have you done any modifications to the cummins? Some people are switching out the fuel plates and put much larger filters on their intake. I am very hesitant to do anything to the engine, its difficult to improve on one of the best engines ever made

Thanks, I just got the tires on last week, so not even a 1/4 tank yet on them. They should give me better mpg if I keep my foot out of it.

Yes these trucks came with 16" wheels, the chrome 17" wheels in the picture above originally came on 2006 and up Dodges, 'These wheels are 4sale by the way'.
I did move the fuel plate up, it gave me about 20-25 more HP, and a BIG AIR filter, which I really noticed a difference.

I plan on doing an 4 inch exhaust, and no cat. The air filter, and exhaust, made a huge difference on my buddys truck.
Then I plan on in the future, a new performance Turbo, 100HP injectors, exhaust brake, Valair clutch.

Check out this board, it has everything you need on it.

And these guys really know trucks at this little shop, good guys, way better than ATS.

Post up your truck on the cummins board when you get a chance.

I'll send you a PM about the wheels!

Thanks for the links, I'll probably run my truck down to that shop one day this week for a valve job and maybe a fuel plate

Hit me back, I left you my number, I'm just up the road in Windsor which is near the Loveland/Fort Collins area

Cool, Yep I know where Windsor is, I was born and raised in Denver, plus I use to deliver all over up in those citys.

Holland diesel is a small one car garage shop, but they know there stuff, and the prices are fair.

Sounds good! I'll call them and take the truck down when I get back from UFC 100 this weekend.

Do you run any additives in the fuel? I have seen where people claim that ashless 2 stroke oil added at 1 ounce per gallon of fuel really makes a huge difference in sound, lubrication that was lost from the sulfer being taken out and mileage. I just dont know if its snake oil and these folks are seeing something that want to see.

No, I dont add anyhting. Ask them over at Holland and see what they have to say, or other diesel shops.
I keep my stuff simple, and I dont care a whole lot about sound.

Some cool stuff. The winch is only a 9500, but with a snatch block it should do the job.

And my new on board air, Oasis! It will give me more than enough air.
This can be ran 12 volts, or 24 volts.
At 12 volts, 8 cfm at 100 psi. and 14 cfm at 0 psi. and has a 200 max psi. with an 80-90% duty cycle.:Wow1:

Where are you planning to mount the compressor? I have a '94 3/4t Dodge Cummins Longbed and have plans for an Oasis also. They are great because you don't always need to have a reserve tank.

I plan on mounting the compressor on the left or right, inside of the bed, back by the tailgate.
It will be bolted down with a box built over it. And I have an alarm on my topper, plus a chain lock.

So if someone wanted the stuff thats inside of my truck, they would have to take the whole truck.
And thats real hard to do with what I have done to my truck.

Just a suggestion, but climb under the bed and have a look. It is amazing how much space there is under a full size's bed that is pretty much just wasted. Even under my Mini there is a lot of wasted space.

is that yankee hill? in pic #2.

i have a warn 8274 on my 87 burb and with a snacth it works well.
Yes it is Yankee hill, there is one tight spot on that trail where I was rubbing both sides. Plus I cut a side wall on my stock tires, now I got some real tires.

Yes there is a lot of room, so I might mount it under the bed along with an stainless steel water tank.
I hoping I can fit my 35" spare back in the factory spot under the bed.

i measured it i think the biggest you can do is a 33"

Check out tiregate for tire storage, it replaces the tailgate and can be mounted inboard or outboard. fits up to a 44" tire i think. $950 and i like it on mine.

Those are nice, but to much for somebody on unemployment.
Plus I want to keep my topper on so I can sleep in the back.

I guess I will have to make an swing out tire carrier on the back.
