we're gonna need a lot more detail - year range, budget, model, etc etc etc. There are plenty of good deals out there, but you need to narrow things down some.

m-tav. I don't mean to be rude, but it seems like you are putting very little effort into this search and expecting a lot. I would strongly suggest sitting down and writing more than a single line about what you are looking for. The model and year range you have just given us, while an improvement over the previous "any jeep" status, still leaves us with FSJ's and XJ's, a range of engines and transfer cases from Diesel 4cyl up to 401CI V8, and a price range from $500 to $8000. Hell, with how Craigslist is these days, your search could also encompass Grands.

If you actually expect people to do your searching for you, then please tell them what to search for!

i Dont really know what to look for yet. As far as the engine goes i want atleast v6-v8 or even a straight 6 would be i dont really care about the axeles and transfer case cause i plan on doing that all my self. Nor do i care about the mileage on it like i said i plan on doing most of the motor work. Now price rang any were from $100-$800. More or less i want a fixer upper. I am not ask people to do a search for me. I was aking if someone has something laying around. One other thing i prefer it to be stock so i can make it my project. Dont really want someone half started project.

do you have any tranny preference? I'm guessing auto, but I have an nv4500 in mine. And yes, it needs a little work. Frame and tubs are solid. Fenders could be better. I-6, weber 38/38.

Mtav, the caption on this pic in your album says "made our own road." Don't do that please. Do you understand that by cutting your own track across a meadow you give ammunition to the people who want to shut down access to places we'd all like to visit some day. If you don't understand what I'm saying then please don't buy a Jeep, sell whatever you used to make these tracks and take up knitting.

Yeah, the axles are the weakest part on this one. You'd probably want to get at least some dana 44's, if not ford 8.8 or 9, or dana 60. It had the weaker ba10/5 tranny the early wranglers had, and it broke, hence the never want another broken tranny of NV4500. It was put in by a shop, as well as a new t-case with it (the new tcase was as cheap as the new input shaft and labor-so...)

What's your price range? Ill be gone for a little bit.

Agree, dont make your own road (unless you own the property).

I wanted the nv4500 so I could do highway speed, and go slow and not have to spin tires (less impact).

Right now, my jeep hasnt been driven much in the last 2 years.
