Finally got around to mounting my ASUS Eee PC 900HA netbook. I ended up using a Ram Tough Tray II plus two Ram-B-101U mounts that I bolted together. There is a huge amount of flexibility with this setup due to the ball mounts. All of this was bolted down to the center console.

I also mounted a Cobra 18 WX ST II. I had an empty cubby on the console that it fit in with just a bit of trimming. I still need to wire it up but that will have to wait until I get my rear tire carrier so I can mount my antenna.

Did you just cut out the back of the cubby hole? Did you tap into the cig. lighter? I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

Yep, just used a Dremel and cut off the back of the cubby insert and then fastened the cb to it from the sides. Tapped into the cig, one ground and one to the battery.

Thank you, looking forward to your build. No problems with quality but it was a pain to mount and I also added a safety T-pin because I was afraid of the thing swinging open if the road was rough.

Any new updates?

I have a 2003 Yukon XL 3/4ton 6.0L that we take out. current mods are 285/75/16 BFGs, K&N Intake and I have a Hypertech programmer for it at the shop but haven't installed it.

115mph!!! :Wow1: Who says these Yukons don't scoot? Hitting some serious speed out in the desert.

In all seriousness I came to find out it is a common problem with some of late model chevys. If you can get into the dealer within 7 years or 70,000 miles of the date the vehicle went into service you can get a new instrument panel free of charge. I have a little over 69,000 so I made it just in time. More info can be found here: http://www.gmspeedometerrecall.com/

not to hijack the thread, but aren't overdrive ratios typically less than 1? wouldn't that be "lower" than a higher ratio that would cause you to drive slower for the same RPM?

Very cool build. I may have missed it in the thread, but does it have the G80 code? How does it do off road?
