Yes, except for the green, function was the motivation over looks. The great thing is, the green accents can be changed back to black in an hour and the roll cage repowdercoated for a few hundred dollars if the new buyer doesn't like it. Amazingly almost everyone who sees the green in person...

Hey guys.
I'm sorry I did not get a chance to build this. I didn't want to leave you guys hanging and wanted to give everyone an explanation. I was pressing on and ordering the parts for this build as well as adding aluminum capabilities to my welder. Then the wife and I found a dream home...
Wow this post got a bit off topic for a while. :Wow1:
This trailer is going to be built. I have purchased the additional welding equipment to do aluminum, as well as a 48" metal brake, bead roller, shrinker stretcher, 20 ton press with HD brake, larger clamps, and upgraded my tube bender to...
60Dan, the protrusion is the nub at the end of the axle in the center (or the "center cap" if you will). With a hub centric, the rim fits tightly around that hub and is kept perfectly centered via that tight fit. A non-hub centric axle/rim does not care about that fit and instead centers the...
What would happen if rubber or polyurethane (in either block form or thinner sheets) were used between the steel and aluminum instead of wood? I have been contemplating the theory, but wondering if it has been tested.
:sombrero: Thanks Bob... I've always felt 2x2 was strong enough, but I know some like to over build with 2.5x2.5 or 2x3. I'm getting ready to build a trailer and I'm trying to keep the weight down, so I am confident to use 2x2 if it is working well on your trailers (mine's a bit shorter).
Bob,
What size steel did you go with on the frame? Steel size is a great debate among trailer fabricators (as we all know), but I am curious as to what you chose given your years of experience.
Specs on the sale page say 110v=0.7a and 12v=2.5a. That sounds consistant with everything I have been reading on these Whynter and Edgestar fridge/freezers.
I came up with a way to get some more interior storage room out of this thing. There is just enough room in the bed area to sit up in (I'm 6'1"), so I didn't want to place cabinets in there.
But......
I noticed that I had just over 12" between the front of the fender where the trailer body...
