Titan swap too much for just overlanding?

The base partial TS is $3k, that's with nisstec house brand coilovers(bilsteins I think), aftermarket UCA, I believe just an OEM titan LCA, longer CV axles, longer brake lines, and tie rod ends . I'm adding on another like $700 for HD leaf springs to help with the camper weight. I'm already...

Titan swap too much for just overlanding?

That's a fair point, a Titan Swap might not be quite as stressful to unmodified components as the 3" lift. I figure I'm probably taking some hit with adding a lift but if I was told the TS was 1-2 mpgs worse than just a 3" lift I'd probably pass. I get 15mpg as it is with the wedge camper on the...

Titan swap too much for just overlanding?

I'd only be going as far to use the titan LCAs and after market UCAs. Currently no desire to swap out more. If I chased the rabbit down that how I might as well go buy a titan (well maybe not in this used car market). I'm aware of the wheels sticking outside the fenders and spraying the side...

Titan swap too much for just overlanding?

Trying to decide what lift to go with and wanted to hear from some folks that have a TS (just using the LCAs) on their Riggs or extended travel kits like the MK84 at Nisstec. I've got a DYI GFC style camper on my 16 Fronty. It's not a DD it's just an adventure rig. I spend most my time on the...

    Frontier Bed Crack

Took some time off work and spent my 4th of july week repairing the crack in 100 degree temps. i haven't taken it on a trip yet but a quick test drive on the highway tells me it's better than new. No more diving board feeling on the highway and even seems like reduced road noise. It's not my...

    Frontier Bed Crack

I think I have noticed the same ones on my tailgate but isn't not as surprising? that's why Tacos need bed stiffeners( i think). I've actually sent you some messages on Instagram but i must fall in the easily missed in box. I'm really interested to hear how your frontier has fared with the...

    Frontier Bed Crack

I'm confident the bed won't fall off, considering i talked to a guy that messed up his frontier rock crawling and completely shredded the same mount and the other 3 are perfectly fine. Steel doesn't crack because it's settling like a house, its usually when when the stress is too high or fatigue...

    Frontier Bed Crack

So I was poking around under my truck a few weeks ago and notice my passenger side front bed mount to the chassis is crack. I took it to the Nissan dealer where i bought it since i have an extended 100K bumper to bumper warranty and was told this is not included in the extended warranty. The guy...

    Custom build pop-up camper

Thanks, I ended up adding some steel cross members to the over bed portion since i was getting a good bit of flexing from just support the 3/4" plywood on the sides. Probably wouldn't of needed to do that if i left it a single 40" x 50" piece. I don't really have anyone to help me check the...

    Custom build pop-up camper

I know I've been terrible about updating this but I got my hatch all done up a few weeks ago. I made a quick and dirty rotopax mount before a 4 night 1800 mile road trip.

    Custom build pop-up camper

I haven't kept great track of it (cause it's higher than I wanted it to be) but i'm somewhere around $2500-$3000 I think

    Custom build pop-up camper

Took the camper out for a 400 mile drive, was suppose to use it but all the recent rain spoiled my hiking plans(last picture). I kinda cheated and added some straps just to make me feel better. Also driving around 25 miles on a dirt road without a rear lid was a bad Idea haha. Had some fun in...

    Custom build pop-up camper

Thanks, the snaps are a problem area and I'm hoping I don't have a terrible night when I find out they leak. Not sure if anyone else has gathered as many images as me but the GFC has a nice way to mount the snaps but I couldn't think of a way nice way to replicate it without a bunch of work. I...
