Hey all
Been digging around and couldn’t find the answers I need.
Looking at purchasing/leasing a ‘19-‘20 Tacoma since it’s pretty crazy deals to be had right now with the residuals and incentives.
Ideally would prefer a 6-speed manual extended cab for long term (5-10 years).
With that being...
Late response (been on hiatus) but it's sad we didn't get these or the Delicas, I am really obsessed with 4wd vans. VW Syncros are far to expensive.
Recently at this years Chicago Auto Show I got to see this turbo diesel 4x4 Quigley converted 2015 Ford Transit, $50k with tax, someday right?
I live in Chicago, IL close to down town, I was driving back to my place and spotted this beauty. In my frenzy of taking quick stalker photos didn't think to check the plates and can't make them out in the photos.
Did we get these in the U.S.? From my looking around we did not. Any idea where...
I LOVE YOU.
Sorry for the late response, just checked and sure as night and day someone knew! Isn't this guy on here too? pretty sure thats how I ended up over there looking at his thread, pretty sure he had a 1st gen 4runner on here.
Hello Community!
I am looking for a thread about a 90's Toyota Pickup (or early Tacoma) xtracab that I read about some time ago and lost the link. The guy works in set location/advising for films if I recall correctly and took off the old bed/custom built a new metal flatbed also with custom...
No, you're fine. I appreciate any input as always from knowledgeable people. I am still abiding my time waiting for a clean example of something I like to pop up. I am use to taking 6 months+ looking and waiting to find clean examples. The K5's seem terrific if they weren't 8-11mpg. I just don't...
I agree, although it would be quite some major $$$ to change it later from IFS to solid axle from what I have seen.
I thought Tacoma's were IFS also and they seem to do rather fine off roading. Although obviously this is probably due to many improvements in IFS engineering I would assume.
That's pretty cool. Now that I know about them, I saw something like (3) of the vehicles today I think. A tow truck, a city truck and finally a garbage truck all Isuzu obviously.
I am now pretty interested in knowing how extensive the fabrication is for this swap and what other Toyota's it...
Mind expanding on this thought? I am interested in hearing why you think IFS is better for expo use and why you wish you had it sometimes. Educate my less road experienced self :).
Narrowed down list
Yeah I have been looking over the 4th of July weekend and decided to cut the budget in half to around $4-5k and put the extra budget away for studying abroad. After all the suggestions and research here's what it is pretty much narrowed down too:
Toyota 4runner ('85-'89). My...

I too believe in not spending a fortune on ridiculous priced vehicles or name brand clothing.... can you say affluenza? Which I think is ironic since fashion is my career.
The Samurai wouldn't work out in Illinois weather, it would be like owning a Wrangler it seems like, you would...
!!!
Great job finding it! Thanks a ton for answering my trivial question also. You are THE man officially (but only for the next glorified filled 24 hours and then it expires, haha).
Just on the off-chance someone should read this and be curious to know more about the cool African safari...
Writing spree
LOL, I rarely use this expression on the internet, but I loved your breakdown of almost every mode of transportation and what you would buy, it made me laugh out loud (especially the bicycle part, yes!!!).
On top of my many other hobbies I am an avid bicycle enthusiast and I am...
