The hitch did not move. The rack did get tweaked a little. Most of the movement was the rack sliding forward in the hitch. I usually set it up with about 1/4” of clearance when it’s folded up. It took that up plus a tiny bit more.
The rack is definitely tweaked, but all things considered, I’m...
Another pro of the 1up - it provides some decent protection in the event of minor accidents. Granted this may apply to most of these recommendations, but as of this afternoon, I can personally vouch for the 1up. See the damage to the vehicle that rear ended me. The rack got tweaked and pushed...
I drive a ‘08 Saturn VUE. It handles dirt roads just fine. Integral load bars make it easy to load up the roof for some extra cargo capacity. The AWD has handled lake effect snow without flinching for the past 6 years - and that’s with cheap all seasons.
It has been pretty reliable (knock on...
The built (and even fairly stock) 1st gen Colorado’s remain my favorites in this thread. They just look so good with a small lift and bigger tires.
All that to say - I care!! ? ? ?
So basically, if there’s a local shop worth supporting, do so, to whatever extent you are able. If there isn’t a local shop, or at least not one that acts like they want your business, BD provides a solid alternative, assuming you have the wherewithal (or willingness to learn) to assemble and...
Good call on the shock mount skids.
Sounds like those and the tires were the two weakest links on the Hall Racing built ZR2 that ran in the BITD Vegas-to-Reno race in August.

GM has issued a statement on how the race went:

"Despite cutting a few tires along the course and the expected rock damage, the ZR2 held up well under the punishing...
Randall Timmer on Facebook:
"We finished the race, in roughly 19 hours. A few small things were addressed at various pit stops, but the ZR2 finished strong with a 7300 Class Win!"

Looks like the ZR2 finished 136 of 244 entries - of which only 147 finished at all. I'd guess they were just in it to finish, and so didn't push it as hard as many of the teams that were running at the limit. Still impressive that they finished! And I have to agree with the sentiment above -...
I'll admit I haven't read every post, so this may be a totally irrelevant suggestion...
Regarding the creaking... if it only does it when parked, do you set the parking brake? My rig had intermittent creaking when parked. Finally figured out it only does it when I set the parking brake. Does it...
IMO, the only way this fails to be an upgrade is if you do not do this! Sounds like you used the heck out of the Burb. Do the same with the LC and I can't see how you'd go wrong!
Are barrel adjusters shifter specific? Seems like that'd be a part they keep somewhat common. Not sure how you innovate and improve a barrel adjuster :-/
