I bought my D13 from a dealer in OR. Decent enough, but when I got home to CA I noticed that the grab handle light didn't work. Pulled it off and it was full of water. I guess that's what happens to a camper living outside in OR.
Anyway, all I needed was a new bulb and I bought it on this site...
Question for those few that have replaced the corner struts with the ARK 2,000 lb ones. Which length did you use? The 650mm (25") seems too short to jack high enough, but the 850mm (33") seems too tall for the front of the camper (when they are closed). I just measured my camper height at the...
Regarding the A/C not cooling very well. Have you tried keeping the top down? I wonder how much heat is coming through the canvas sides of the top. Not as much room with the top down, but would probably help. This coming from a D13 owner with no need for bunks.
Regarding the Anderson plug at the tongue. My trailer has one and does not route through the existing solar controller. It goes straight to the battery bus. I have the Renogy suitcase panel, and it came with its own solar controller. I use it when I need more juice, or the trailer is in the...
A few questions about the corner jack upgrade. Did you use the 33" model on all four corners? Did the new ARK jacks bolt onto the existing brackets? In other words, was it just a matter of removing the two bolts holding each jack in place and bolt the new jacks in?
An update to an earlier post of mine. I've been trying to get my 2017 Ranger Rover to recognize the dweller when I plug it into the vehicle. When the Range Rover recognizes that a trailer is attached it disables the backup warning beeps and it also performs some sort of stabilization when...
Hey Guys,
I guess I should have been more clear. My trailer brake controller works just fine. My Range rover is prewired for the TBC. The 7-pin jack at the bumper is factory, and I just needed to plug in the TBC under the dash. I'm using a Tekonsha P3. The TBC and the brakes on the dweller work...
Question about getting your tow vehicle to recognize the Dweller.
I've got a 2017 Range Rover. When I plug in my 20 year old utility trailer the vehicle "recognizes" that I have a trailer (alerts on the dash). But when I plug in the dweller, nothing.
I assume that the vehicle uses the...
I've got the stock 300W on the roof and also a separate 200 watt portable panel that I use when the Dweller is parked in the shade.
Now that I'm getting serious and started to look at battery sizes and the available space (under the couch in my Dweller), it looks like I'll probably be going...
I guess scratch that idea. I just checked the battery compartment size. On my dweller the batteries are under the bench seat. The larger compartment is 18 1/4" long, 13" wide and 11" high. The smaller one is 13 3/4" wide, 11" long and 11" high. I'm sure I could redo the brace that separates the...
I am also looking to upgrade to lithium, what level of upgrade are people thinking of? I'm thinking of going with 2 Renogy 200Ah batteries as replacement for the current 3 100Ah AGMs.
As usual, this site is a great resource. I just checked my hitch, and while it isn't quite as free turning as WillySwan's, it is turning too easily. I think I might try the crescent wrench route. The torque might not be exact, but I'll see how it goes.
Sort of related, should I be concerned by...
We've had to deal with rain making its way in that gap between the roof and awning as well. I've been thinking of using a garage door "gasket", maybe like this one Garage Door weather seal. Maybe use some silicon caulk to attach it to the roof or awning. I wouldn't necessarily do a full bead...
I've got a D13 with the Jan 2022 upgrades and still have the 500 jack. I've not had any issues. I make sure to rotate it with the wheels facing up. Once rotated up, almost no part of the jack hangs below the frame.
When googling for the Monroe Magnum 66440 shocks most of the images shown are yellow, but the shocks being shown here are black. Am I not finding the correct shocks?
