    New wagoneer mods?

I put 275/70r18 tires and wheels on in place of the stock 22" wheels and low profile tires on the wife's Grand Wagoneer. Really changed the look and it should be much more capable and durable now. With the sophisticated off road modes and air suspension it seems reasonably capable and should...

Added a Detholff skid plate under the engine a little while back. Super burly and an absolutely a work of art, way, way nicer than it needs to be. Love it. Still need to get skids for the transfer case, fuel tank, and source/fab some rock sliders. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk

Crew cab long bed (8ft) for overlanding??? Is this viable or realistic?

I have found my Megacab Ram to work well for light off road and amazing for rough dirt roads. It's just a smidge shorter than a crew cab long bed. Quality suspension and 37" tires on 17" wheels is key for soaking up the rocks. I'm not particularly interested in taking any full size into...

It's been a bit, but the Kings (3" front, 2.5" rear) are on and front axle is trussed. Loving this thing! It eats up rough and rocky Forrest Service roads like the ones all through Flat Tops like they are paved and still isn't phased by 4k lbs in the bed when it's time to do some work.

2021 Ram 2500 75th anniversary edition Power Wagon suspension upgrade questions

Nice! Love my 37s, probably not a huge difference from 35s. Fitment was really easy. At 20-25psi it's a cushy ride (my truck is heavy being a diesel HO Megacab). Still need to get sliders made. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk

2021 Ram 2500 75th anniversary edition Power Wagon suspension upgrade questions

I have a 3500 and put on a Thuren one. I forgot about the disconnect on the PW, assuming you are disconnected off road I would not change a thing then on the PW. Separately, big tires on small wheels at low pressure also make a huge difference just in case you haven't gotten around to that yet...

2021 Ram 2500 75th anniversary edition Power Wagon suspension upgrade questions

I haven't run the fox 2.5s, but the king 2.5s and bigger are worlds different from the fox 2.0s. Also the stock front sway bar is really stiff and limiting. Replace it if you haven't already. It makes a huge difference and really frees up the front end. I've been impressed with the boogie bumps...

2021 Ram 2500 75th anniversary edition Power Wagon suspension upgrade questions

King 2.5s are a great quality shock and should be enough for anything short of really high speed action. Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk

Owners of domestic HD/commercial trucks - was it a good choice?

I've been really happy with my Ram 3500. The key with this class of truck is to setup the suspension and tires well for your use. I dont have a camper on it, but do cover lots of forest service roads and trails, usually tent camping or towing a trailer. I set mine up with Thuren suspension and...

Opinions on Ram 2500 wheel and tire options 285's vs 255's; Baja Boss vs something less aggressive

With the OEM wheels and taller tires you may run into rubbing issues on the radius arms and sway bar. Thuren makes both in high clearance to accommodate 37x12.50s on stock wheels. Fwiw I haven't had issues finding high load rated tires in 17". I run 37x12.50r17s on my Ram 3500. My tires are...

D vs. E rated tires on F350 with Supertramp truck camper? Are D's OK to use?

I think either will be fine. I run 37x12.50 E rated tires (Falken RT-01S) on my Ram 3500. I love them. They don't look or feel wide on a truck of this size.

Dual Rear Wheels and Mild Off-roading - Is it Really That Bad?

Gotcha! I thought you were talking about a truck camper. That makes sense. I don't think dual wheels are going to be a limiting factor when taking an AWD sprinter off pavement.

Dual Rear Wheels and Mild Off-roading - Is it Really That Bad?

A well driven drw will go just about anywhere it'll fit. Check out the Randy's guys. Fyi as far as I know there are no mainstream US market drw trucks that are AWD or have any sort of fancy traction control. The Ram 3500, F350, GM 3500s etc are still decidedly old school with traditional...

I love the locker project! Able makes great stuff. I have his nanny kill switch. I'm running an ARB up front and actually am pretty happy with the factory locker in the rear so far, but traction is usually pretty good in Colorado where I am. I thought I would want a sway bar disconnect but so...
