Wish picture quality was a little better, don't use a platform in bed in case weather is bad, may have to spend some time back there and need to be able to sit up. I pack everything in rubbermaid roughnecks, everything goes in the same spot everytime. There is enough room for one to sleep in...
Been camping for years with wife in truck cap. Has slowly morphed into all weather camper, have a raised cap insulated with a bed tred bed liner, 3/4" neoprene pad and carpeted ceiling.
Just purchased my 4th motobecane, still riding the first one on a weekly basis. latest bike is a titanium 27.5 plus bike for $2300, would I rather have a specialized, yes, but the motobecane gets the job done for a whole lot less.
I use a fantastic fan between the cap and cab with a rain deflector made out of roof sheathing and Dac tent in back for extra room and ventilation. If it's really hot the fan goes on the tailgate with rainflaps open on tent.
Used clear silicone caulk under the hinge. I have a dac tent that fits on the back of the cap and was getting water dripping onto tailgate during heavy rains.
