obviously there are ways to around the issue and that's why in my post
i said "more ground clearance usually means a higher COG". that axle is
great way around this issue but how many people are doing something
like vs just jacking there trailers up? i thought my comment was rather
innocuous...
i used delta pro boxes on my trailer (my 12x14x36 were $246 each)
and though the boxes are great dealing with delta was a nightmare.
took them three tries and more than 3 months to get the order right....
also there are other ways of dealing with vibration. my trailer has the box
mounted on rubber isolators (just like the truck i tow it with). i drive an 80
series and have another 80 that has a full cage and a rigid mounted body
and the difference is night and day between the two...
you could argue the opposite, more ground clearance usually means a
higher COG. i've seen more than one trailer with 20+ inches of ground
clearance on its lid behind a truck with 11" of ground clearance....
those images have been up on his website long before your thread appeared,
so my guess is he must make time machines as well as trailers.... j/k :sombrero:
i'm doing something very similar with pre-drilled tube. it only about $10
worth of material but then it not as slick looking, the curse of being cheap...
