    2012 LR4 Overland Project - Build Journal & Blog

I looked into this once. The pendulum weights are resonance dampeners. They dampen frame vibration for improved ride quality. Probably also mitigate to some extent wear and tear caused by vibration to components throughout the vehicle in contact with the frame/body. Sent from my iPhone...

    2012 LR4 Overland Project - Build Journal & Blog

Yeah I worked through this with Patrick and kept him updated about what setting worked. I also assumed Tire Size MSB - IPC value referred to tire diameter because it was initially set to 31, and tire diameter seemed to be the only relevant number in that area. But that appears to be just a...

    2012 LR4 Overland Project - Build Journal & Blog

@ar4me I recently went through the same thing trying to use the IIDTool to adjust the CCF in my 2013 RRS to account for oversized 285/50R20 tires. Changing the Tyre Rolling Radius setting had no effect on my speedo or odometer values (which were 10% below actual due to the tires). Nor did any of...

    2010 RRS SC tire size

That's strange -- I've heard of 275/55R20's having diameter fitment issues, rubbing on the wheel wells and such, but I've never heard of width issues. As you say, that size is narrower than the 285/50R20, and the 285/50R20 fits (just barely). The 285/50R20 ends up being just a hair's width away...

    2010 RRS SC tire size

Tires are the RRS's white whale. I have a 2013 RRS with 20" rims and have spent countless hours figuring out the best fitment for off-pavement travel. My conclusion: 285/50R20 is the optimal size and the largest tire you can fit without significant rubbing. That size gives you a diameter of...
