shes never driven manual, I kind of pushed her on the 4banger and manual. but now she wants a auto. there is a 98 4x4 3.0 auto 4runner down the road for sale, blown motor, really good shape. are the auto trans from 22re to the 3.0 different?

Ok so I picked up a 86 4runner, 22re, standard, 4x4 for my g/f the other day. she REALLY wants it to be automatic. What tranny is going to be my best replacement? what years? What is involved as far as wiring? any special sensors any advice would be great!!
