400-500 hundred gallons of fresh water??You don’t need that much water, just install a recirculation system in the shower, I can’t imagine what else you would use that much water for unless you’re gonna wash the truck every day.
Typically I would be all for using vehicle stock material as much as possible because you benefit from the research and development the original builders thought thru. With that said I think this maybe an exception. Here’s my thoughts;

The troopy and 80 are even, one is not better then the other. Both have positives and negatives.
