How have you been? Would love to catch up.
'Otis' is still very healthy and in the stable. Spoke with Nathan about setting a value but never followed thru. With so many memories and as it is still very capable we have decided keep our worthy steed.
Expecting to be in Bend soon, Max has...
While not running this time hope to see you at the Baymont Inn, Kirkland
Is that an Alu-Cab conversion on your photo?
We have one on order for our Trialmaster.
Christian, which Alcan 5000 are y'all signed up for?
As members of RASC living in the PNW we did two w our 2013 Cayenne diesel. Both were winter events 2016 and 2020. Please let us know if you have questions or if we can be of help...
We got to see the Alu-Cab Grenadier conversion at the Mule where it was between Overland shows. Saw how to open it up and sat up on the bed. Convinced us to put our deposit down, now trying to decide how to configure living quarters once the rear seat is removed.
A North American diesel is not an option unless modified to accept ROW diesel and Add-Blue delete. Also depends on what type rally is being run - for example high speed is not required for TSDs. - Consider purchasing a ROW diesel over there first. For NA Cayenne's a well cared for and sorted...
Tangential post,
Question, how long can potable 'city' water remain useful for drinking? Yes boiling is an option but curious what the straight out of the can shelf life is.
Currently store ours in a couple of blue 20L Sceptre's. We are preping for much longer trips than we have been taking. -...
Just over 1k miles on our Trialmaster. Agree with what @KitCamper posted above. This does not drive like our 911 nor the 958! It was definitely built with their motto in mind 'Purpose Built' - We purchased our petrol Grenadier to go where our 958 diesel can not as ULSD fuel is not available...
Principle reason for getting the IG is to explore Central & South America where ULSD is not available. Cayenne diesels got our attention after Jan Kalmar and two friends set the world speed record driving from Nord Cape Norway to Cape Town SA in less than nine days. He took his many other places...

Two Scepter 20L water containers mounted to our swing out have worked for us these past 138k principally off-road miles. For longer trips have brought along 2 four gallon jugs stored inside.
Note: you can order Scepter products directly from Scepter vs giving Amazon non-value added profit.
