What year is your van? I would agree with standing room. I use mine for same as you, skiing (I'm down by Mammoth in CA) USFS dirt roads and Baja/ desert trips. After 3 weeks in Baja with the family I could really see the benefit for being able to fully stand up, not to mention when prepping...

Looks like a nice AWD, not sure on the reputation of this year but not a bad find for someone.
I don't want to start a separate thread for van issues so I'll ask my question here.
I have a 06' Chevy Express. The cruise control has an issue. It works almost perfect and sometimes it has no issues BUT it shuts off when I put my turn signal on to the right , its fine if I'm switching...
Nice. BigC. I'm slower than a tortoise when it comes to doing stuff for my van. I'll post up some pics once it actually starts to look like something is happening. I found the chair on ebay, $130 included shipping, and I got a swivel base which locks in the forward facing position from...
Nice work BigC! What are you using for your paneling? I did my first panel last week, with 1/4" ,sheet of birch I think it was, I'm thinking I should maybe go with 1/8" . I didn't fir anything out just going straight to the steel framing. Got a 3rd. captains chair and a swivel base, now my...

What have you guys used for...
Heres a good link; camperize.com
I found this while searching for insulation. Theres a good write up on the different types of insulation and outgassing considerations etc. I think I'm going with 'duck' brand water heater insulation! Its recycled cotton, 1.8" with an R value of 6 something...
Nice work BigC. I just bought an 06' up in Oregon (i'm in eastern , CA) 52,000 miles, super clean and empty. I'm getting into the build out as well, so good to see your's in progress. i 've been researching insulation options as well, I read that there could be electrolysis issues between the...
Hey guys I'm new to this. Sold my Toy Tacoma 5 months ago and just bought a 06' Chevy AWD express with 53,000 miles on it. I've read this thread several times now trying to learn about what you guys did for lift etc. Most of the stuff re lifts is from 5 years ago or so. I see now that there...
