I run 16's on most of my trucks. They are still a very common size and you can find tons of rims and tires for them everywhere (especially junk yards). If you are going to another set of rims, I would recommend moving up from your 15's for sure.

Here is one I found online a while back. This one does a good job of fitting around the box cap/camper shell. http://ocmetalsolutions.com/tag/ladder-rack/ As you can see, it works well with or without the cap on the truck.
