Thanks! I haven't really complied the details about the RTH anywhere yet, though I think I'm happy with the design at this point. Maybe I should do a post about it here. The handle for the gate is still there, when two jerry cans are loaded there's enough space to reach between and pull it...

At a crossroads - looking for input

This is precisely the mode I'm in at the moment till I get a spare weekend to handle the seals. Or till the its next smog check rolls around, because I am also in CA and passed the last one by the skin of my teeth. Plus side: after idling for a while, you get a nifty smoke screen to hide from...

    Timing Belt Help???

I am not 100% sure but my guess would be the tensioner itself. Nonetheless, I went with OEM for both pulley and tensioner and reused the old arm, as I didn't see that as the likely failure point. Fingers crossed that was a wise call, not in the mood to dig back in there again!

KYB Shocks $40 off 4 Rebate

Thanks for the heads up! Anyone have any reports on how they like the GR2 vs the Monomax? I'm running Monomax at the moment and feeling kinda "meh" about them.

Cam sprocket turned counterclockwise w belt off. Did I do damage??

Yep, I've done essentially the same thing. Still running like a champ so I believe you'll be in the clear. Just make sure to get everything lined back up when the belt goes on. Also, while it's all apart, take a quick look at your crank key. Picked mine up from a previous owner who let the...

Hi all! After lurking for ages I decided I ought to join in the fun. Some beautiful rigs are in this thread, I'll add my baby to the mix. A few years back I picked up this 1998 Gen 2.5 with rear locker and ~150k miles. Did a variety of basic maintenance to get it up and running well, then...
