I had a similarly poor experience with airbags on an F150, so I opted for the blue Sumo Springs on my 2021 Tundra. I am pretty happy with them so far, but I have not gone heavy with them yet. I think there's another version that you can step up to for that sort of weight.

I would recommend you put those "couple hours work" to get it back to that "clean cosmetic state". Surely you can fix the tail light, test the fridge, and so on. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you think it's worth, the only thing that matters is what someone else is willing to...
Is there more to that story? I am dying to know if you tossed him or her the E350's keys and just walked home from the gas station.
Couldn't agree more that it's all just a massive set of trade-offs. You could add a swing-away adapter to your current rack to make rear access easier, or maybe...
I concur, do not buy off Amazon. I purchased a small strip off Amazon last year and it was nowhere near as effective as the VHB tape I've received with other products. Sort of worthless, really.

@kylethompson Do you leave your Hitch Safe inserted all the time (except when towing or using the receiver, of course) or only insert/remove it when needed? Asking for a friend who lost one of the 2 pins driving around (fortunately not the whole thing). Could not agree more that Ford's keypad...
Paid cash for my '08 LR3 but in the end, my average monthly spend to keep it on the road was approaching the equivalent payment on a much newer vehicle. Two of the best days of my life were the day I got my LR3 and the day I sold it. Just my $0.02 there. Good luck!
