Sweeeet build. Nice lines paired with the F-150 too. Ive always wanted to build out one of these tall spacekap shells. Nicely done. Good luck with your sale.
Finally settled my claim and receive the check this past week. $12,200
I invoked the appraisal clause section of my policy and paid to have it appraised. It appraised for $12,500 and the insurance co had it apprasied as well and it appraised for $11,900 I agreed to split the...
Just to give an update on my claim for anyone interested, I had my 80 appraised and the value came back at $12,500. Submitted to the insco and awaiting their appraisal and then, Im guessing it will go to 3rd appraiser to judge.
To be honest, that value is what I was expecting to see them offer in the first place, and the value that I would settle for. It's what I would pay if I was looking for one. In fact, my dad called me about a 95 with 128k for $7800 today that a friend of his was selling. It was blue...
I felt that you must have had some background in the industry from your replies to a lot of the comments. I think you've been pretty spot on with your remarks btw...

couple of pics of the accident. the second one show them using the jaws of life to cut the hood open (radiator was steaming) looked like smoke I guess. No one was hurt, thank goodness and believe it or not but they drove it out of the intersection to where the flatbed was parket to tow...
Good suggestion. I've thought about that and prob will go that route, but was really trying to get my head around a realistic figure before negotiating the salvage value. If the value could be increased, then it would be repaired under my policy without having to have a salvage title...
Thanks for the input...The insert I clipped from a screenshot yesterday from nadaguides.com (National Auto Dealers Assn) which has been used for years by banks as well as this particular insurance company for determining value. Kind of like Kelly Blue Book. I think they have lost their...
Fair enough, thanks for the input.
I guess I was just kind of surprised to receive a $5k offer after checking the NADA book value on it (which blew me away, to be honest) as well as looking for something with similar miles on autotrader, craigslist and ebay. I found 4-5 that appeared...
