    The BroBurban - A 2002 2500 Suburban

My 2001 suburban 2500 had similar oil leaks to what you are describing. I replaced the lifter valley gasket, oil pressure sensor, the plate for the oil cooler, and was positive that the valve covers weren't leaking. It still looked like the starter was getting oil on it from somewhere. It...

    Chevy upper control arms

I ended up just ordering new moog problem solver control arms. In the end I just couldn't justify 3 times the price for the tubular arms. Thanks for the help

    Chevy upper control arms

Is there any difference in strength, handling or ride quality? Will it make a big difference in the ride quality if I install the dual Fox shocks that I have (provided I install control arms with mounts for them)?

    Chevy upper control arms

I recently had the ball joints pop out of the upper control arms on my 2001 suburban 2500.(they pressed themselves back out the top, not tore the joint apart) I was able to hammer the joints back in, but I done trust that set now for anything more exciting than moving he vehicle in and out of...

    need 2500 Yukon advice

We have a 2001 2500 suburban LT with a 6.0 I think the ¾tons are better suited to heavy use. They have bigger brakes, and leaf springs in the back, as well as a stronger transmission(4l80e). I feel that the heavier built trucks are going to hold up better with big tires and a rear end full of...

looking for heavy duty/upgraded steering for my suburban

I've changed my mind a little on the direction of the repair. I was going to use the moog heavy duty parts and put the cognito braces on them, now I'm just ordering the regular moog parts. I went out to double check the spline count on the pitman shaft and noticed that a part of my lift kit...

looking for heavy duty/upgraded steering for my suburban

does anyone know of a forum where people "build" ifs trucks? I've been looking around for a bit trying to find some reviews and first hand knowledge about these products and these trucks in general, and I'm not having much luck. All of the parts you guys have linked me to have the kind of stuff...

looking for heavy duty/upgraded steering for my suburban

I think I'm going to go with moog "problem solver" parts. I'm also considering the braces for the idler and pitman arms as well as the idler pivot assembly from cognito. Does anyone have any experience with these parts? Thanks again.

looking for heavy duty/upgraded steering for my suburban

The truck appears to have stock stuff in it now, and it may be original stuff, so stock could very well be strong enough. That has never stopped me from looking for something stronger or better though. Lol

looking for heavy duty/upgraded steering for my suburban

So, we started getting a vibration that pretty rapidly (about 2 months from when I first noticed it) turned into enough to really bug me, and to make it better, yesterday it started with a steering wobble when slowing and turning the wheel slightly(reminds me of "death wobble" from my jeep...

help with ideas for an expo rig for a family with too many kids. lol

I forgot all about this. Lol We've made more vehicle changes. I found a good deal on a 2001 suburban 2500 lt with 6" of lift on 35's. I was able to sell my jeep to cover the cost of the burban plus a little extra, then we sold the van. We found out that we just aren't mini van people. I'd...

against better judgement /Now with pics!

Its been a little while, but, I've accomplished a few things. I got the front shocks mounted, the front brakes plumbed and the steering box mounted. I also started getting some sheet metal primed(the inner fenders answers battery tray) I'll paint all that stuff, as well as most of the front...

It's back on it's wheels after changing out the 2wd cross member for the 4wd one. Had a little confusion which side was the front, but luckily, my Chilton manual had pictures of the undercarriage and I got it figured out. I'm hoping to get down and pick up the rear axle and springs, along with...

It holds it's self up now! I got the other spring bushing mounted tonight, and set the truck down on it's tires. The shackle angle is a bit more vertical than I hoped for, but, it'll be serviceable. It'll probably be a couple of days before I make much meaningful progress as a couple of...
