This is interesting and a bit pricey. I've never seen or heard of one before, though. Following is copied from the ad.

Competition Orange. This has the V10 motor which has been overhauled and rebuilt along with the transmission 26 thousand miles ago. Suspension is beefy with 2006 Dana 60s and shocks are pro comp ES m3000. 17 ply General Grabber Tires ...
Interesting 2002 E350 5.4L ex tv broadcasting van. Only 26k miles. $8999 Would need to be gutted, but would make a good base for a camper van.

I second Shade's comments. I'd get a cheap daily driver and get it done and dialed in so when you do retire, you don't have to screw around with another van.
I saw this van today in Manchester, TN. I about broke my neck when I drove past it. Price seems a little steep, but it does look like a time capsule inside. I'm sure it's an 85, not a 95.
I would want to know how many hours are on the engine, if I was interested in it. During my short time in the oil field, trucks like that would sit idling for many hours.
2003 Ford E450 7.3L 33k miles $13,499. Not mine and I don't know the people selling it. I stumbled on this one today sitting in a parking lot. It would make a perfect work vehicle for me, if it wasn't for the windows on the right side. It is in fantastic shape...
A buddy has a 07 GMC van KUV with the Duramax and I drove it for a few days a couple weeks ago and was surprised how quiet it was. I wonder what is different about yours.
I thought some of you might like this. I was doing a job for a customer and they had a bunch of antiques in the garage. They had this old hand pump that would be mounted to a cars running board. It's a Dead Easy from Globe Manufacturing circa 1917.
Make sure you chock your wheels, especially if you decide to go under it and mess with the linkage. Does it just sound like it's in neutral when you give it throttle? If so, that means it can just roll without the parking brake on. On an F700 I drove for a company I used to work for, I would...
I've got an 88 with a 4cyl and auto transmission. There are times I wish it had more power, but I'm happy with it overall. I do have the "Jerry" camshaft from Jerry Lemond, though. The engines do have their quirks. You have to retorque the heads every so often to help from blowing a head gasket...
The interior looks to be in decent shape based on the pics in the ad.
My van is almost identical. The 5.4L moves it just fine. I've pulled cars on trailers and other heavy equipment without wishing I had more power.
