I like my old 6.2l Suburban. Needs a overdrive though. Only gets 17 mpg at 70.

You may consider using an electric fan with the trans cooler. A couple of guys have done this with their rigs (big heavy burbs) over at CK5 with their 4l80's. Keep the temps in check and it'll work fine.

that is a hell of a rig. usually don't see that kind of a set up on anything less than a full size.
