Why put a new Lexus or Audi under the tree when you could take advantage of my “HZJ Holiday Sales Event”? Price lowered to $27,000 and that’s pretty damn firm.

SOLD I KNOW I’m gonna regret this! I just know it!!!!!! I’ve got too many cars, too many bikes, and too many trucks! This old girl doesn’t get used as she should and I feel sorry for it whenever I’m not driving it!! Like the title says, it’s a 1991 HZJ77. This has the normally aspirated 1HZ...

How did you pick what size hilift jck you have?

You're not saving tons of money buying a 48" and why a man would carry around a 48" and 60" stanchion is beyond me. There's a fine line between "good enough" and "not enough".

How did you pick what size hilift jck you have?

Buy a 60" - you won't regret it. Great as a jack and the extra length is a godsend if you need to use it as a come-a-long. If you just HAVE to have a 48" jack and you're worried about suspension droop compensation then use a tree strap and Jack to lift when you "Jack and stack" or use a...

Winch, rope and winch bar limitation calculation

? A 2:1 - with incoming leg and outgoing leg of line at 0 degrees to block sheave and hook at vehicle - results in a traveling block. The lines share the load equally. The block will of course see a multiplier of 2 or a doubling of the load. The block and mounts on the truck - no matter where...

Winch, rope and winch bar limitation calculation

You're not "doubling the power" of the winch.(That would be "magic") You're effectively "half-ing" the weight of the load in RELATION to the winch.(whatever load must be moved) This is in a 2:1 pull. But remember, whatever load is being "lessened" by the the snatch block(s), in relation to the...

Is this a decent recovery setup?

Join a club -as in get time behind the wheel off the highway. Never said all club members were knowledgeable instructors. Just be careful hiring anyone to "teach" you this stuff. Unlike road racing schools or HPD - off road driving instructors do not carry credentials. And certainly don't rely...

Is this a decent recovery setup?

My personal opinion, knowing MANY I4WDTA "certified" instructors? Save your effort and money. Read, read, read! Jim Allen's 4 Wheeler's Bible is a great book to start with! Many'a COI at schools is based off this book. Get active in a 4x4 group. Anyone - and I mean anyone - can pay their fee...
