    trailer tongue help

Finally got the trailer home (had some issues getting it registered). I'll post some pictures if anyone is interested. I'm probably going to do plywood on the top of it to help keep stuff in. The cross bars will be 1" square tubing with washers underneath to give clearance for the kayak J racks...

    trailer tongue help

I'm not too worried about having it adjustable as it will primarily be for kayaks and I could always switch back to the original tongue if needed. As for weight it will hold 2 adult kayaks (50lbs each) a kids kayak (20lbs) paddles, PFD's, and a cooler. They didn't have any 2"x3" but it wasn't...

    trailer tongue help

I haven't been on here in a while but figured this would be a good place to get some help. I purchased this trailer tonight with the plan of setting it up for kayaks. (specs - 3.5'x5' box and 3' tongue which is 2"x3" tubing, 2000lbs axle and 225lbs weight) The main problem is it is way to...

    2006 Durango

Well, I am finally getting bit by the 4x4 bug again. I sold my jeep a while back after running into some issues with it (and then got married, bought a house, had a baby, and bought another house). I got a great deal on an 06 Durango that is loaded and am looking to do some small mods for back...

Home defense shotgun opinions: Rem 870 or 887?

Combat and home defence are two completely different situations. In combat you have already been authorized the use of deadly force and it is essentially your mission. Home defence is a reactive situation with little time to determine the situation. As far the warning shot, it doesn't matter...

Home defense shotgun opinions: Rem 870 or 887?

In Canada there is a huge gray area on this subject. Personally I'd rather take the firearms charges (with less lethal ammo) than a murder charge. Either way, priority is protecting my family.

Home defense shotgun opinions: Rem 870 or 887?

Slightly off topic (and probably more so for the non-Americans since their laws seem to protect them more) but what about less lethal rounds with shotgun? Any opinions on them?

Home defense shotgun opinions: Rem 870 or 887?

My local gunsmith almost "lost" the remington line up because he refused to bring in the 887 after seeing/shooting it and fixing ones bought elsewhere. Needless to say he has an extremely good reputation. I'd stick with the 870 or a Mossberg.

    long gun registration papers

Regardless if guns are registered or controlled, it's not going to stop people from committing the crimes they commit. They will find other ways including unregistered illegal guns. I can't speak for any other country than my own, but the only people all these laws are effecting are they law...

    long gun registration papers

There is a wait prriod on the initial license. Also, when you buy a gun over the counter it is automativally registered through a dealer/police database. The main issue was the registry did nothing to prevent crime (liberals big arguement for it) and many firearms of hunters and farmers...

    long gun registration papers

Canada still requires all firearm owners to be licenced to buy and own firearms. The only difference now is we do not register them and do not have to have papers with our long guns when ever we take them out. I was out shooting with the ex chief of police for the area a few days ago and he...

    long gun registration papers

I spilled some gas on mine http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=UUaLQfR7c5T-932j-dL4bKcg&feature=player_detailpage&v=ykfLa4N9gIc That's right, Canada no longer has a firearms registry for non-restricted firearms (shotguns/rifles) :victory:

    back board

I actually got a SKED a few months ago. It's a cool piece of kit (and yes I know it's not a backboard).
