Great write up so far. We have driven many of the same roads in our Westy during our travels to the Redwoods and Lost Coast. Last time we were on Bald Hills road, it was so foggy you couldn't see more than 30 feet. Kinda a bummer as it is so beautiful up there.

We were up in Port Renfrew back in mid February. Weather was pretty decent for the winter. The roads up to Nitinat Lake were ROUGH from all of the rains. Some had landslides and were washed out. Love that part of the island.

Here is a short video we did of the Descend on Lost Sierra event that just took place outside of Portola California. The Descend events started as a Vanagon gathering but have evolved into a very big event for all like minded travelers.
