Went back to 285s from 315’s. The FJ is much happier.

The FJ has been getting some love recently. Installed a pioneer head unit, changed out the anthracite wheels for the simulated beadlocks and added a ton of patches to the headliner.

Picked up a 1st gen for $450! 1987 22re auto 260k miles Had a set of 255/85 km2 and steelies laying around so I threw them on there, little spray paint and here’s where she is now.

Bought a new toy the other day. Wasnt really even in the market but I couldn’t pass up the deal. Before and after paint. Bumpers will probably be next.

Put 315/75/16 KO2 on the fj today.

Got the KO2 mounted today. Going to have to do a little trimming on plastic tomorrow because it rubs and 3/4 lock. Very happy with the looks and power doesn't seem much different at all but the brakes may need some upgrading.

Havent done anything to the fj in a while but the km2 were starting to show their age so I ordered 5 315/75/16 bfgoodrich ko2 today. Should be here by the end of the week. Pictures will follow.

They are starting to replace the frame on the newer tacomas if it's rusted out.

I have an 07 fj and installed OME heavy before I had bumpers and there were no issues. I knew I was going to get front and rear Bumpers soon enough and didn't want to regret getting the light duty coils. Go with the heavy. You won't want to regret a $1000 purchase when the bumpers start to sag...

Do everything you plan on doing(suspension,regear) but go with 35's. Will be much more manageable on the trail and DD'ing and I think you will be happier all around. The effort it will take the fit 37's on a 5th gen just isn't worth it IMO.
