General idea on costs to duplicate the trailer? Just the basic shell; though I would want to make it a bit toy hauler-ish.

On the subject of Tradesman vs. SLT ... can the LED lights be added to the Tradesman? I'm guessing not compatible or it was cost prohibitive? I might be making this same choice in the near future. thanks.

Mark, Do you plan on getting a SRW 3500 or possibly DRW and converting to super singles? Regular truck bed and removing it or Chassis Cab?

The round wheel well and side with the incorporated boxes is awesome looking. Very smooth aesthetic for a flatbed. Looking forward to seeing it installed. :drool:

The internal aluminum structure and the strength it provides is definitely a part of the appeal of this build ... at least to me. Eliminating the dedicated 12 volt system is an interesting thought; though I would want to keep the 2-way fridge happy for a long weekend if not longer. I know the...

I think I would keep the crew intact and search for another 4x4 donor and/or the parts to build the dream rig. Less (or no) downtime and you then have a backup with the crew or the crew could be sold intact to recover costs.

Mark, What would an 8' approximately weigh? Keeping everything else approximately the same ... I know the innards would have to squish into an even smaller space. Is it just 2 feet less of the walls and roof (floor is already 8' if memory serves), minus the bunk(s), and cabinets and tank...

Sell this (and maybe even the big truck???) ... then build the 5500 to rule all ...

I know I would interested. An erector set on a larger scale I think I could handle. Quality pieces and parts unlike typical RV's ... :cool:
