    2002 Chevy S10 4x4 Crew Cab

Looks to be coming together very nicely, Thanks for the tip on the tint - had not heard of it before. Nice pics of the salmon - sure don't have anything like that along our NC coast / rivers.

    2002 Chevy S10 4x4 Crew Cab

Truck looks to be really clean for its age but I don't think its a ZR2. To the best of my knowledge (and I could certainly be wrong). Chevy did not offer the ZR2 package on a double cab - only the single and extended cab versions of the S10 and the wheel moldings shown in your photos do not...

Warn, Ramsey, Sherpa... whats the most dependable least Chinese winch

ComeUp 9.5RS Seal Gen II on my Colorado for a couple of years now with no complaints. Its used much more around the farm than on the trails but has been solid. This winch is available through Chevy as a dealer installed option. My TJ has a twenty year old M8000 that's also been reliable but...

    Gas Griddle

Not a Blackstone but we have used a Lodge griddle on an early sixties vintage Coleman liquid fuel 413 for years. Sausage or bacon on the griddle while the oven pre-heats. Coffee perks on a single burner Coleman 533 (not shown). Oven is up to temp by the time the coffee and meat are ready -...

Ozark Trail "High Performance" cooler - any good?

Glad to hear this is being handled for you Bill. Earlier in the summer, I had one of the rope handles fail on the 73 qt they gave us but was able to get a replacement from these folks. In all fairness, when camping, the cooler sits on top of my tool box in the truck bed and the handle that...

    GMRS antenna on smaller vehicles

Not a Jeep but I have a MXT275 Midland connected to a MXT25A Ghost Antenna on the right side of the hood near the windshield using their MXTA27 Universal Lip mount. Seems to work well and reasonably unobtrusive. No drilling needed.

    Potable Water Can?

Grainger has both the LCI and Scepter versions. I've used the LCI for some time now and its been trouble free but the fit and finish isn't quite as good as that on my Scepter fuel cans. Given the difference in pricing, I'd go for the LCI again. I also carry two (5 and 2.5 gal) of the...

    OBA for camping/beach and trails

I'd also go with the continuous duty for the reasons listed by Howard70. I didn't do a lot of research but it looked like going from 15-30 on 35's was just 45 seconds quicker for the HD version and the price delta was only around $50.

Newb here — I need some basic recovery gear and a compressor. Where do I start?

Lots of good advice in the previous posts. A shovel should be the first item in your recovery gear, especially if you're going to be travelling solo. Recovery points - Not familiar enough with your vehicle to make a useful comment Straps - I carry three (2" x 20') of a generic brand TOW...

    Colorado owners likes /dislikes

We’ve had a crewcab, gas, 2019 ZR2 with the Bison package for about a year and 20K miles. Our previous two trucks were crewcab, TRD Off-road Tacoma’s (05 & 12). They were solid vehicles and I have few complaints in 300k+ miles but I was concerned with the performance of the 3.5L that replaced...

    Portable Charcoal Grills

Google 'Son of Hibachi'. I was given one of these back in the mid 70's and most recently used it this week. Its a small two sided folding cast iron grill with grate adjustments that can be closed tightly enough after use to snuff out the coals. At one time there was even an option for a bag...
