    Help! Isuzu broken down (again)

We sailed out of Carabelle, FL on the gulf side and Saint Augustine on the Atlantic. Solo though, not with any group. We will also be heading to Texas gulf area to sail this January. Have not picked an area yet, but maybe Rockport?

Yes, a Montgomery 17. We just finished sailing it off the coast of Florida.

    Help! Isuzu broken down (again)

FIXED! (Help! Isuzu broken down) We fixed the problem ourselves (it was quite easy). Instead of removing the pods from the flatbed, we decided to try raising the living pod high enough to tilt forward the cab. It worked great and only took a few minutes (mostly to dig out the jacks from the...

    Help! Isuzu broken down (again)

I had seen that link but I am not sure of the specifics to the Isuzu 4cyl engine. I was hoping someone might have had a similar problem and would know the location and voltages to check?

    Help! Isuzu broken down (again)

We fixed our injector problem in North Dakota by having two injectors replaced, but now our 2006 Isuzu NRR 5.2L 4cyl diesel has an engine light again. It is throwing code P238, which has to do with turbo high pressure sensing. It does this right when you crank the engine and erasing the code...

Isuzu engine trouble, need advice please

Hi, thanks Kerry. I guess we will try and make it to Minnesota. The sailboat is a 2005 Montgomery 17. Sailing Devil's Lake in ND today.

Isuzu engine trouble, need advice please

We have a home built camper on a 2006 Isuzu NRR with a 4HK1 5.2L four cylinder diesel. The mileage is 150,000. About 700 miles ago the engine light came on so I bought a code reader and read code P0500 triggered. It seemed to only happen at idle and after reset it didn't come back for a few...

    FTS 750 build

The FTS is a great truck. I have been sort of looking for a FTR or the equivalent GMC T7500 to upgrade the rather wimpy Isuzu NRR with it's low 19,500 GVWR.

    NW Rally

Last year I was all excited to see some FUSO rigs and a grand total of one showed up. You can do better!

    Mitsu Fuso Camper examples

Mostly it was because I didn't really think I would get around to building the garage pod but when the living pod turned out so well, I was motivated. Having them separate has benefits. Gas fumes from the motorcycles and general mess from using the garage pod as a workshop don't spill over...

Here are some pics of our camper comprised of a removable living pod and garage pod (built on a 2006 Isuzu NRR):

    Isuzu build finished!

Removed flatbed wood and took a road trip. It has been a few months since the NW expo and we have made a few modifications. We added a propane carrier under the flatbed, steel frame with expanded metal sides/bottom and a diamond plate aluminum front to match the other boxes. It looks great...

Do you have a transmission temperature gauge? Do I need one?

Our rig, on a 2006 Isuzu NRR with 5.2L diesel engine and 4 speed Isuzu transmission does not have any indication of transmission temperature. When we went to the Northwest Overland Rally, we were around 17,500 pounds on a vehicle with a GVWR of 19,500. I drove up Stevens Pass in the slow lane...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

Yes, I didn't think Australia would see a lot of sub freezing or sub zero events :-) Utah might though. I was considering putting a Lithium bank in the unheated garage pod on our vehicle, but the 0F limit on storage and 32F limit on charging is kind of a showstopper since we plan on extensive...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

Answer is D) Not enough information given If you have two 6V batteries of 250AH tied together in series for a 12V system, you have a 12V 250AH system. If you have two 12V 250AH batteries tied together in parallel for a 12V system, you have a 12V 500AH system. For the LifePO4 guy, what cells...
