    2019 LR Discovery SVX

I think you hit the nail on the head, perhaps our last hope for the brand is the yet to be spied Defender, although I do not place much there. I'll just try to keep my '06 LR3 going I guess. It smells like coolant, the interior is falling apart and it feels more overweight every day but I have...

    Compressor Mount

I mounted my dual ARB compressor under the false floor just behind the rear seats. There was also room for a 2.5gal tank. This is only possible if you do not have third row seats. This is the area where feet would go in the third row if you have it.

Winter tire question for Compomotive users on the LR4/Discovery 4

Nitto Exo Grappler offers the ability to stud the tire if you want and it comes in the size you are looking for. It is winter rated, mountain snowflake here in the US and Canada. I am not sure about the availability in Iceland...

Anyone have an IIDTool and an LR3?

Check your ABS sensors and wires. I had one that wasn't properly restrained and the tire wore through it. This caused all of the same ABS light, amber brake light and DCS light with a drop to the bump stops.

    LR3 gearing

I think that the ARB locker offering was not based on compatibility with another platform from Ford. I have both front and rear lockers. The front differential is not a part share with any Ford product. The rear may have some internal similarities to the Expedition but not likely. I know there...

    An LR3 on the Rubicon

Don, Thanks. I have been looking at the design of the OE bushing at that joint and see that it looks like it is designed to give radially (along the direction of the a-arm tube). This means that there could be inherent binding in the geometry of suspension or to provide for manufacturing...

    An LR3 on the Rubicon

Don, So... I run those bushings as well and your experience has me concerned. I have looked at my upper control arms and do not see any cracking yet. The bushing have been on for over two years now. How long have your's been on? In your original failure post I recalled that it was implied that...

The DiscoDavis Discovery 3 Build Thread

I lost my alternator the same way, wading through too much mud. It had perhaps 90k miles on it. I think that it got filled up with mud and overheated. Fortunately I was two miles from home when it finally gave out.

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

No, I think it literally hits the bump stops or binds in the strut. With the two inch lift of the spacers you need 2 inches or more of rod or software lift. I think the rod lift is the better way to go to avoid out of range faults in the sensors.

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

While the ride height of the truck is not increased, the height of the bump stop is physically lower. This new bump stop height is near or at the access height when running stock rods with no programmed offset. When you lower it hits the bump stops but the sensor values still want to send the...

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

I think you have to use adjustable rods to get it to go into access mode and stay there. The height sensors are putting out a value that is being calculated as an obstruction by the suspension computer. By requesting access mode the computer thinks that the sensor should rotate to a value in...

LED work light on a tire carrier, options to think about?

I had two of those Hella for a while mounted to the back of my rack. They were insanely bright which was good thing. The bad was that they got really hot and melted my third brake light cover. I have switched to Hella marine Seahawk flood lights.

    LR4 tires for 19"

Goodyear Duratrac 255/55-19 Goodyear All Terrain with Kevlar 255/60-19 Neither are ideal based on the load rating. Not sure what else would work for you based on needing a snow rated tire and 19"...

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

Yes, that is exactly how it works. This is the same way Land Rover designed it to work. I do not remember the exact sizes, ID and OD. The length of the bumpstop was two inches. The OEM bumpstops are about two inches but are very soft and compress way down. Access mode can only be achieved when...
