M100 with RTT for Sale - Houston Texas

SOLD 3/26/16 This trailer started as a M100. We have outgrown it and sold the LJ. The RTT is an older Mombasa. Built in 2008, always covered, but stored indoors the past 3 years. We kept all of our camping gear in the trailer, as it is weather tight. You could load a cooler and go. The trailer...

    My '52 M100 Trailer Build

Sorry for the late reply, just noticed this. I ordered 811026 Add A Leaf from JC Whitney. http://www.jcwhitney.com/1966-1966-jeep-cj3/rough-country-add-a-leaf-kits/p2005974d51386y1966-1966j1.jcwx Its wider than the factory springs if I remember correctly.

    My '52 M100 Trailer Build

Looks good. I think one of the best things I did was widen the track and add brakes. With my LJ it tracked ok on paved roads, but on trails it was always wandering. I can only guess with a JK it would be worse.

    My M100 build

I sometimes wonder if the 250# springs are enough. A few times I have the tent closed, and the deck loaded with firewood, lawn chairs, dog kennels, it can still be heavy. But again when the tent is open, and nothing is on the lid, you can almost give it all your weight to close it. Martyn is...

    My M100 build

Thanks guys. Its has proven to be useful. I have kept with the build budget, and upgraded as needed. I highly recommend brakes on ANY trailer behind a jeep. I have slowly sold off the original parts. I have a M100 axle with new bearings, includes hand brake for sale soon.

    My M100 build

Finished product: (sorry for the shadowed photos) Pulls/tracks/stops great. Got the E-brake controller on the LJ. The new fenders are almost as light as the originals, and you can use them as a step/shelf/seat.. The new front rack ties the can holders into the fender skirts, and is...

Tear it apart: Axle: Note to self, when you order a 3500# axle with E-brakes, the hubs will not fit in the stock LJ wheels. You will need 2" wheel spacers, then need to narrow the axle you just had built..

    My M100 build

So since the trailer was in the garage, I started swapping the axle and fenders. Before: Problems: - I have to carry a full trailer spare since the lug pattern is 5 on 5.5", and the LJ is 5 on 4.5". This was mounted on the tong, then moved under the bed to redistribute weight. -...

    My M100 build

6/10/11 After sitting with snow on it for 6 months, I pulled the cover on the tent to find this. I dont know if the weight of the snow did this, or the thermal shock. Remove Plastic Replace with Sheet AL
