    Vantastic CNG power

I cut out the stock cat and welded up a straight pipe. The flange wasn't the right size so I spent a few hours with a hand file enlarging the holes. Ended up only being able to get 1 nut on it. Kinda gave up on that. I will need to cut the stock flange off the old piece and then weld it back...

    2WD van in the winter/snow?

Ive driven a few econolines daily. been in some sketchy situations. good tires help on hills. I bet you wont have much of an issue. I also suggest a 7.3l e350. they are heavy and pull through everything.

    Vantastic CNG power

I still haven't gotten this thing fixed yet. I was thinking about it a few weeks ago and reading up on psd 7.3s. early 99 (and 98vans) had cats on the exhaust. 99.5+ ford removed them. I think. I remembered seeing a cat on mine and thought that maybe with all the oil my engine was dumping out...

    Vantastic CNG power

I did replace the IPR on the hpop. the nut is still there. I don't have a scangauge. I need to get one it seems. I did take it to my friends shop and used his fancy gauge a few weeks before taking it in to a diesel shop to be told its low compression. We couldnt get it to shut off when the thing...

    Vantastic CNG power

I threw new filters on during this engine swap. Its stock intake besides that. I did clean it up a bunch but that shouldn't have made it worse. All the sensors I have replaced with Motorcraft, which is what factory ford OE stuff is. I replaced them all in 2016 chasing some problems I was having...

    Vantastic CNG power

Thanks guys. I appreciate the kind words and help. after getting the hose off It is a lot clearer that it was cut.(not like it wasn't clear already lol) I ran to a local hose and fitting store and got some of this stuff. It had a metal wire through it and is really heavy duty. Someone would...

What type of Van is suitable to us?

I would be looking for a nice Ford econoline. they have plenty of space and plenty of seating. the 5.4l engines get decent gas mileage and are relatively cheap to work on. there is quite a bit of aftermarket support for them if you want to dig deeper in an offroad aspect. but in stock form they...

    Vantastic CNG power

I finally got a temp tag for the van. Drove it around a bit. there are all sorts of new noises and sounds that weren't there before. I assume its from changing all the stuff and cleaning the grime and grease off stuff. I had planned to run up to my parents house about 70 miles away then take the...

    Aftermarket Ecocoline headlights?

I got a set of the headlights in the top pic. but the LEDs are white and the casing is chrome instead of the black. Almost look stock on the van but work real well. I kept the stock turn signals. I just found them on google. they were like $84 or something.

Gallivanter: An Ominous Beginning and an Optimistic Future

Hey I am terribly sorry for my post. I was in a real rotten mood that day and everything was setting me off. I apologize. I didn't mean to derail this thread. I have enjoyed it from the beginning and am looking forward to more of it.

    Vantastic CNG power

Ive done all this singlehanded. I had a few guys say they would help but nobody ever showed up. Pulling the engine. swapping everything and putting the new one in. all by myself. Help would have been real nice. and there were some instances that would've been a lot less sketchy. but it is very...
