A little help, I have the square load bars from my prior vehicle and have been looking for a foot pack to fit my new 2010 Tacoma Access Cab. I know I have seen these trucks with Thule racks in the past but there hasn't been a part number I can find. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Ran an Aussie in my XJ for years and have one sitting here for my WJ front. Having installed several of them, I can say it's not that hard if you have done brakes and fluid changes. If doing the rear, I'd recommend renting a slide hammer if you don't have one to pull the axle shaft out enough...

115k - piston skirt cracked - happened to me at 108k. I wouldn't worry about it if you have the docs and pop fluid covers and take a look. If no paperwork - run.

Starting to build this Tribeca. Anderson Design 2" lift spacers are ordered and new shoes to come.

I rolled over to 180k early this summer and like all post 100k 4.0's the morning start up noise is there. I helped a buddy put in that 4.6 into his XJ years ago and it was a great choice but the AW4 is far stronger than the WJ transmission for long term use. I also believe they require 93 octane...

I would 2nd the valve cover on the 4.0...ran into that last year after doing the RMS.

I've had three 4.0's. 88' XJ that went 275k plus before I put in a rebuild, a 00' WJ that had the piston skirt crack at 105k which I sold and my current 04' WJ with 178k. Common things I have done as have most of you: Rear Main Seal, rear valve cover leak, belt, T-stat and Radiator, waterpump...

Who makes that cargo rack? Sounds like a fun build.

Is that the Iron Rock Slip Yoke kit? Looking at going that route myself. Thanks and great build.

My vote is BFG AT's. I have run 3-4 sets over the last 12-14 years. This past tire change (May/June 2014) I went with the Cooper AT3. (once KO2's are out in 235/85r16) They will be gone. Good tire but they don't have the grip that the KO has nor the snow bite. Just my 2 cents.

I run the same two bags, takes up a lot less space and hold about everything I would need in a pinch.
