cool story, will view the video later. As far as I am concerned, you already have a super offroad car with the UAZ Buhanka :D At first I thought Chukhloma was somewhere in Siberia, but it is only just above Moscow :D Always interested in more stories and certainly the trip you want to take ;-)

Well, as promised I have to finish the story for now after we returned from our trips. We got the new tyres, as said before we bought the 215/90. IMG_1257 by Jaap van der Kooij, on Flickr Mounting and balancing the tyres (although I am not sur balancing will do anything with these tyres)...

55 is a bit fast for most of them, it is more convenient to keep it at 50mph (but only on flat roads). In rough terrain it works very well indeed. Why we bought one: incredible cheap compared to japanese/american cars parts are available everywhere mechanics are available anywhere as it is...

The UAZ's interior has been replaced, but since we will take guests with us, we need to have enough seats of course. For that purpose we had already bought 4 extra chairs. With the 2 already available we have 6. For now we will mount only 5 seats. For the sixth place we are looking for a folding...

The ceiling is mounted for 90% now, while the rest will be done while mounting the sidepanels. So, we started with this sidepanels. Although the model of this car is over 50 years old, it seems that every car is unique. We have to customize every panel so it will fit properly. IMG_1114 by...
