I mounted mine and had almost the exact same setup as Gatorgrizz27 and chose that location for the same reasons. it worked great and never had any issues.

Went out for a little this weekend. Bottom of the mountain up through mid way, sunny, clear and mid 60's. Top of the mountain, cloudy/foggy with freezing mist and ice falling out of the trees and in the low 30's, LOL. Love that mountain weather!
