Man, I'm an idiot. Just googled it and up came this thread. Never bothered to check the date.:oops: I have a Classic now but have always wanted a Disco as well. Just wondering if it is better to buy a cheap one that has this issue or buy a more expensive one that doesn't have this issue. yet.

When the head gaskets go on these things is it common to have to do more than just replace the gasket? There is a 2003 for sale cheap in my area that says it needs a head gasket. Not sure if that really means it needs an engine rebuilt or not though.

Any of you guys who are running limb risers have an issue with them vibrating and making noise when left on at highway speeds? Just curious.

Thanks. I struggled a bit with the idea of painting it a non-factory color and I'm sure there are some purists out there who are appalled. In the end though, life is too short not to do what makes you happy.

I own both a 93 RR Classic LWB and a 93 Land Cruiser FJZ80. They are completely different vehicles. For short trips and for the shear enjoyment of the drive, nothing beats the RR. If you are planning on driving it quite a bit though, the 80 is absolutely bulletproof. There isn't a single...
