Last summer we rode with a guy who had one. He was really in love with it (as it seems with anyone who has them). His only complaint was the lack of suspension for offroad riding. We watched it TRACTOR up a sandy hill when everything else got suck, rooster tail was 30 ft. high... hilarious. :Wow1:
I had 255/85 KM2s on the truck before these. I can't tell any difference on dry highway. Snowy/slick highway, however, these are much better, but they are also studded. These also seem much better on snowy/frozen dirt. I'll have to see how they do on the rocks. I'm guessing they will be fairly...
Thanks! They are 255/85 Discoverer STs. Very happy with these tires in the winter. No build thread, but all of the mods are fairly standard for a Tacoma on Expedition Portal: OME, CBI, ARE, Softtopper, Icom, sodium pentobarbital.
Thanks Cody! We used the K60 From WY to Prudhoe and back to Anchorage. I really liked the tire, however, after 5500 miles of heavily loaded 2UP the tread still had a lot of life left in it (50%) but was developing some really nasty cracks. They were bad enough that I swapped the tire in...
I'm in love with the front. I run it almost exclusively on the bike.
The rear was fine. It seems like it has slightly less traction than a 909 and mine only lasted around 1500 miles. The 909 is easily a better tire, more traction and lasts longer, but it should be as it is twice the price...
