I ran this way in my hot garage from 11am to 5pm. Hooked up to AC power the charger would not stay in charge mode. I started out with 100% and ended with 89%. So even with shore power the Arkpak can’t keep up with my fridge usage? I’m pretty sure if the charger stayed in charge mode the battery...
Just as an experiment. I have the Arkpak plugged into the AC charger and the Fridge plugged into the Arkpak. The Arkpak is still going in and out of charge mode. The fridge pulls a max of I think 4 amps and the charger is is rated at 7 amps. Am I missing something?
Brett, I have run 10 gauge cable from under the hood of my 3rd Gen Tacoma through a 30amp relay to the bed using a Blue sea socket. I get around 13.4v-13.6v on average at the socket. I have an Indel B 50qt fridge plugged into the Arkpak and the Arkpak plugged into Blue sea socket when I go on...
I was thinking of just putting male and female fused Cigarette plug on the input and output of the Voltage converter, then it would be portable. Also are Voltage converters constant current, or are like everything else where current depends on what the load pulls for amperage?
Hey Brett I'm have some issues with my Arkpak. Do you have any thoughts on this thread? https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/arkpak-buck-boost-converter-questions.217844/
I have had the the Arkpak 730 for several years now, and it has never charged correctly in the Vehicle. I think this is mostly due to Toyota smart alternators voltage fluctations. In my 5th gen 4runner it almost never charges and in my 3rd gen Tacoma I ran 10awg wire to the bed and it charges...

I'm about to change the tires on my modified m416 trailer to civilian tires. I'm using Omix-ada 16725.01 replacement rims that have no rivets to worry about. To keep the tires as close to stock as possible I was thinking of going with 225/75r16 or 215/85r16s. I cant seem to find an all terrain...
I have an ArkPak with an AGM battery in back of my 2014 4runner. While driving it only charges at 6 amps, and I was thinking with a DC-DC charger I could get more like 20-40 amps. I like the simplicity of a DC-DC charger and I'm pretty sure my 4runner has smart Alternator. I like this one by...
