    Rear axle Burbs are cool. I love my 90. Suburbans came with 3 rear axles . The 8.5 10 bolt in the 1/2 tons and 2 different 3/4 tons axles --- the 9.5 semi floater and the 10.5 full floater 14 bolt. I found a 10.5 for mine out of an 88 3/4 ton -- direct bolt in . The only thing you have to do...

    Suburban Owners.. MPG?

    Suburban My 90 6.2 3.73 and 235/75/15 got 18.9 last time i checked commuting to work (combination of hwy speeds and city stop /go) i have a 4.10 14 bolt waiting in the wings so with 33's it should do mid 20's on the highway. It doesn't help that our trucks are as areodynamic as a cereal box.

    suburban Sorry if I posted on another thread , smart phone and big fingers . Anyway I saw a 96 2wd sub with a FF in a salvage yard . Maybe not as common as the semi but still available. I was looking for a FF for my 90 sub and spotted it but found an 89 with a factory FF.

    The only number i found was on the face of the hub (n64b) - warn lock o matic on the dial . Appear to be course spline (maybe 8 large splines ). Built like a sherman - very heavy.
